Karly Fae Hansen is a 30 something artist living in Baltimore Maryland, with her two dogs, in a house she fondly refers to as “Alta Haus”. She graduated magna cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Some of Karly Fae’s art has been exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Goucher College, Load of Fun gallery, Northwest Studio, Maryland Institute College of Art, and the Radisson Hotel of Cross Keys. Her artwork is primarily collected across North America, Europe, and Australia. Her artistic style and medium varies and are explorative; but subject themes consistently come back to nature, animals, and mythology. She also often uses humor and self reflection to connect with her audience.  One of her signature drawing styles involves using acrylic washes to color or tone thick printmaking weight paper, allowing this to dry, then using charcoal in a subtractive method, and then adding conte, chalk, or pastel and more charcoal over top to build back up the drawing. Using the moniker Alta Haus Industries she runs her studio out of her home, her garden and landscaping consulting, IT consulting, as well as a few others side gigs.
